Three players are left and none of them are yet truced and you are one of the three, you may be the strongest, you may be the weakest, who do you choose to attack (depending on situation)?

at 8:34 AM, Monday May 28, 2007 EDT it depends on the situation. if there's a huge player, but you can split him, attack that spot. if you can't split him, don't even try because he will kill you, just attack your weakest neighbour. if you're surrounded by the big guy, you'd better build up and attack him because he will either kill you or let you sit on very little lands so your dominance will go down. if you are the biggest player, attack those who aren't flagged. if someone truces, take down one of the trucers as fast as possible, or you'll lose. if all three players are about equal in strength, attack the 1st guy so you have a chance at first place.
NEVER TRUCE, it's lame and unfair. |

Are truces _always_ unfair? I think one good situation for a truce, or at least a peninsular truce, is two players on a peninsula that is at least two countries wide. There is room enough for both to fight their way out. They are likely to have a long common boundary. If they fight each other, they eventually will be beaten by the central power or the ones from another peninsula. |

The only thing I don't like about truces is people are using them to settle for second when they have a good shot at first. When there's three people left the most fun way is to attack whichever of the two is strongest. If I'm in 1st then buddy in 2nd can flag if they don't like it. Whatever place I'm in, I try to play it so they don't ally against me, by offering to ally with them. If they decline, usually after ten rounds it'll become obvious which one you can pick on to win. |
