There are only two players left and 2nd decide to do massive attack leaving a bunch of one-stacks behind, and then he flag. game over.
It seems that the point of this behavior is the domination points. Not that I don't like such behavior. but I am curious. Does that really affect the domination point? |

http://kdice.wikispaces.com/Rating+System: "" - 50% dominance adjustment: based on the average of the territory counts taken at the beginning of each turn (excluding the first three rounds)."" You need to hold land for a round to count as your Average Size. So reckless attacking is useless (unless it helps you have more land until your next turn). Also, when someone is eliminated, the quantity of your AS (such as 3 land or 9.7) is irrelevant. Highest AS gets highest adjustment, 2nd highest gets 2nd ... (there might be an AS bonus for winning). 2nd player can never improve their domination unless they get more land than player in 1st. If their Average Size is already higher than 1st player then they just need to flag before it drops lower than 1st player. So if you flag before your next turn, anything you do shall not effect your AS. In your given case, sometimes it's just best to do an all out attack and see if you get enough fluke luck to win, or maybe it's just fun to smash everything and then end the game. All the best! |

If you make an all out attack, and fail, you're toast. But it might take a number of rounds for the other guy to demolish you. Each round, your average size decreases. So you might be encouraged to flag immediately after your big, failed, attack in this case, since your average is only going to go down for the rest of the game. Alternately, maybe the dude thought he could ninja flag with only two players left! |
