I think the scoring system should be changed. there are simply too many people in the top rankings who obviously are not the best according to their percentages first and second but get very high scores by playing all day. this is a very wrong incentive. who's with me?

at 8:03 AM, Monday May 14, 2007 EDT Yeah, but now it tilted to the other side, a guy whos good getting over 20% first and playing regularly isnt even getting a chance at a nice ranking. i play a couple a games everyday and i gotta keep winning em or i fall back 10 positions each day... ridiculous

at 9:35 AM, Monday May 14, 2007 EDT i think the scoring system is fine. Also look at the games played by others, very few games.
you only gain major score, and major rank, by keeping a high elo. you only have to play a few games to jump if you're first elo, and keep it. |

at 9:53 AM, Monday May 14, 2007 EDT In the current standings _rnd_ is trying to maintain first score-from-rank by playing as few games as possible. As long as he keeps his highest elo rank he gains one point per game, while riser or x luck x have to play two or three games to gain a point. But _rnd_ will be forced to play one more game for riser's or x luck x's two or three games to keep ahead. Also, he could lose his elo first place rank, in which case he will have to double or triple his game playing rate.

for your information, your TAPL for this month is 770, which puts you a little back of the middle of the pack of the top 25. Your lifetime TAPL is 1213. Of the eleven players that you outrank in the top 25, nine of them have played more games than you. So you are doing fine. --Captain Obvious |

Dude if "the man" wants to rank me 10th I cant help it. I play because i enjoy the game not to artificially raise my rank. i am well aware of my low first place ranking. I don't pretend to be a KGOD. Most in the top 15 play far less than me. Check out the games played for the rest of the top 25. I play for the enjoyment not cuz im a rank whore franky :) |
