Dominance issues

Hey all,
I've been gone for a while but I'm sure some of you still recognize me. I had a few questions about the new dominance system. - How long has it been enabled? - Why was it enabled? - Wasen't there alot of negative feedback on it? My problem is.. I can't play with dominance :) I'm more of a defensive player and my style of playing actually worked back in the early days (had 2 accounts in the top 5 I believe), but now I'm having trouble even getting above the 1600 mark. Point is; 'dominance' punishes defensive players while it should also be a viable strategy to play so imho. Grtz Rven |

- To encourage more aggressive player; prevent hiding behind a dominating player, gaining 2nd for not screwing him up by suiciding; granbt rewards for being 1st for most of the game but then getting killed by 2nd & 3rd, e.g. ... and so on. - there was, but there was more positive feedback after it had been tested in the sandbox for some time. I did tried an agressive style after the change but got back to my old strategy, except that when I know I'll be 5th to 7th, I try to pump up my dom score by raiding around a bit and having fun. AND you were 1st for almost a month, we won't forget that :). I even thought you founded an PGA-Clan because you had 3 or 4 accounts in the top 25 with the same pic :). |

I liked away players now score badly; if someone is dominating but finishes 5th or whatever they still get good score. Basically finishing 2nd isn't the most important thing, you need to dominate too. This doesn't punish defensive players who get 1st that much and everyone else being aggressive should make it easier for your defensive strategy to get 1st, so either this helps you or you need to dominate more :P |
