electroshock therapy to anyone who flags to 7territories/28dice/round4. ELECTROSHOCK!

Monte, I think we're all missing the a rather obvious component of that early flagging - it is identical to the pioneer days style of a 5-7th place player allying with a 1-3rd place player, securing the upper level players flank, and, at least in the old days, guaranteeing the little guy 2nd or 3rd if their ally wins. Now on the plus side the little guy no longer gets 2nd or 3rd, and if he does, he doesn't get as many points, but the larger point is - if someone "flags to" we should all be treating it the same as if they had truced, and react accordingly.

tuttle, good insight... never thought to associate early flags = early truces. but nowadays, more often than not on 1900 tables (and soon 2000 tables), flascades are happening (flagging cascades, COINAGE). in round 4, to someone with 7 territories. one neighbor flags, then another neighbor sees the first neighbor flag, so then he flags too, then the next flags then the next flags. and then i look at the board and i see a first place badge next to mr. seven territories, and 5 flags next to everyone else. and there am i with 4 territories and a decent set-up... so according to your idea, does this mean its a 6v1 against the unflagged dude?

why dont 2000 players have any more pride/balls any more??? (besides kehoe)

in a recent game, martinos was the 4th round/8 territories/30 dice guy. pet had 6 territories, and flagged. uy had about 5, and flagged. and there i was with 5, and I GOT PISSED AT WHAT I SAW. so in order to prove to the players and to the gallery how pussy 2000 players are nowadays, i decided to unleash a 7stack through martinos' still-vulnerable territory. in the end, pet unflagged, got 1st. uy stayed flagged for 2nd, and demanded that i thank him for not attacking me (thanks uy, nice balls you got there), and martinos got pissy when i stated that i wanted pet to reward me with 3rd since i handed him 1st. at one point martinos made this comment: monte, go back to 1700 tables, where your lunatic strategy works. IS THIS WHAT 1900 (2000) TABLES HAVE BECOME? a safehaven for early flaggers? i echo tuttle from another thread: what happened to all of the balls/pride of early kdice history? now 2000 players are KNOWN for their pussy early flagging. anyways, im taking a sabbatical from kdice, because i honestly dont find any pleasure in playing a game where everyone surrenders to empty intimidation in round 4. i'll be back next week maybe.

apologies to: all females who might be offended that i associate weakness with the term 'pussy'. this is a colloquialism, which has been proven completely false by kristen. she makes me associate 'pussy' with 'domination'.

What happened to the "game-review" idea? I quite liked it! It was the best of DiceWars.

short answer monte, yes, that means a 6v1 truce against the unflagger - and if the candy-asses would just own up the these truces than there is no way this style of play would last because it is so clearly poor play. But so long as it's called early flagging folks try to see some merit in it ("we're making the games faster") The key, in the short term is for 2nd place to stand up and counter against the first couple of flaggers (and #1)

If you can't convince them that the risk is worth it then they're bad players.

If the risk isn't worth it then why complain about them being good players?
