The Next Big Thing

I have just discovered what is certain to be the Next Big Thing in kdice diplomacy (kdiplomacy, or kplomacy). It is called the "Ninja Truce," a term coined by yours truly (previously well known for the invention of the Ninja Flag, a widely used and lamented ktactic).

Although the Ninja Truce is a potentially revolutionary and uber-destructive weapon, it is important to note that currently, due to particle accelerator technology limits, it remains in the theoretical stages. As such, a precise description regarding the nature of the Ninja Truce remains out of reach. However, we have many kphysics graduate students cranking out dissertation after dissertation on the subject, and we here at the Coonballs kInstitute of Excellence are confident we will have a clear definition before the end of the century.
Stay tuned.

A Bumpdate.

No definitive results to report as yet. However, I can briefly describe to you some progress which has all of us Ninja Theorists really excited these days. Using advanced mathematical modeling techniques, we have determined that the higher kmensional space-time geometry may in fact be pliable, depending on the precise values of the kphysical constants entered into the equations. It is like this. If one set of values is used, the ninjas will flag at a certain known frequency. However if a different set is used, they will flag at a different frequency. This has implications for the ongoing efforts to find a Grand Unified Theory of Ninjas.

there is another new strategy...

if there´s a truce between two big players who are save to win the game... hmm. then fight only one of them. make an alliance with the rest of the table to kill just one of the two allied players, so that he won´t get 2nd or neither 1st out of the game. this is quite funny and may avoid lame (!) truces in later games!

it´s not that I´m again truces... but I don´t like the lame ones...

I do like the thing Aixo sugested,
it's fun and you get to end a place higher.
It is the only thing to do facing a truce of the two biggest.
How you decide who is going to be the target is up to geography and placement.
Do not aim for the player you want to aim for, aim for the player who is crushable.
If that's the player you want to crush, that's your luck.

That is not a new idea aixo/b, it was the standard response in the old days to a 1-2 truce - at least it was the standard response when the remaining players had pride/balls. Otherwise folks would just flag. Now a days it seems that folks more often jocky for the scraps and turn on the other little guys, but the strategy is a long established one.
