it's true. everybody watch out for me.

i'm the guy who will attack an ally that sat there all game, did nothing, asked me to fight his battles, and refused to flag at the end of the game even though a) the game was finished, and b) everybody else had flagged.

my apologies to everyone on kdice for having this nonsense at the top of the forum board. this infantile behaviour really isn't necessary.

5er if you agreed to truce = not fight each other then what you did was backstubbing.
Yes, it seems that your truce partner did not work towards your goals, but unless you made clear your expectation from your agreement, e.g don't block me, don't hide behind me etc, you basically didn't respect your promise.

when you make a truce, sometimes is inconvinient because you can't expand as you want etc. But unless have permission from your prtner you should never attack his positions as long as other players are still in the game.

Here's what really happened:

You had about 10 territories, but you were spread thin, I had four 8 stacks ready to clean you out, but we truced.

Without my attack on you, your sparseness filled in.

You became the largest.

I Attacked our enemies at every possible chance.

The enemies teamed up and widdled me down to 3 territories, while you sat there and continued to expand even though you were already the largest by an insurmountable lead.

Next, you decide that you want everyone to flag, which give me last place, 5th place.

Attempts at reasoning with you failed, all you had to do was attack the guy who was attacking me which you could have easily have done considering i was your ally.

But instead you attack me??

Bottemline is we had a truce and you ended up with 1st place and I ened up with 5th.

You broke the truce, I never attacked you.

You are a backstabber.

@5er
I see your last point.
Correct. Childish behavior must stop.
No reason to break truce and make ennemies for geting 3rd instead of 4th, dominance adjustment would have been most likely the same.
my apologies to everyone on kdice for having this nonsense at the top of the forum board. this infantile behaviour really isn't necessary.

It appears now that %er was actually attacking a truce partner for even more childish reasons :)

funny, i didn't think ending a game whose conclusion was forgone was a "childish" reason - i thought it was fair to the majority of the players present; you know, ending the game quickly instead of (further) draining everyone's dom scores in favor of my own, thus allowing a new batch of players to use the board?

i *do* think it's childish for an ally to demand another ally kill off another player who'd played a good game so that his rank would be higher, even though said ally did absolutely nothing all game and sat in the same 4 territories all game long, even though he had people to attack.

in any case, PowerSlug is misrepresenting what happened in this game. when i asked for his flag, he had a block of 4 territories and was solidly in 3rd place and that's the rank he would have achieved had he flagged, as all the other players had already surrendered.

etiquette-wise, i am generally of the opinion that once you are truced with a player you should never attack him. the *only* reason i attacked him was because he refused to flag and was thus dragging the game on far longer than it needed to be, given that all the other participants had stopped fighting and had flagged.

please note that my ally was never eliminated by me or any others, but (eventually) flagged out.

i'll leave my "backstabbing" in the eye of the beholders, and if they wish to treat me as such, so be it. however, i would think that some would agree with my logic in forcing the end of the game, given that its outcome had been decided 8 turns previous, people's dom scores were being drained needlessly and others were waiting to use the room.

%er you have your own reasoning to which your truced partner did not agree, however the agreement that was clear for all was that you had a truce with him. and you broke it.

You should have stopped attacking others and let them fight them if he wanted to. Without you attacking the others the others might have easily defeated him or he woould have realized that there is nothing to gain and flagged.

Yes, you are technically a backstabber.

Sounds to me like Power Slug made a bad choice in partners. It happens, no reason to come crying about it to the forums. Jsut make note of it and try to ally with people that you recognize as responsable players in the future. A truce can ruin your game just as easily as it can be used to ruin others days so its player beware out there.
