To future self ... KDICE is not Risk. Dice rolls are not random. Kdice favors aggressive play over moving into a corner. Sometimes a 7v8 will win. On your first move, move through spots that have already moved. Don't spread too thin or too far. Greys will usually win; don't attack them until you can overwhelm the greys. Respect flags, but only if the person didn't lose the game for you, or they attacked you repeatedly, lost and then flagged. Allow winners to kill you; lose with grace. Watch for proxies and pgas, and keep a list of who is pga/proxy and who might be.

I hope this avatar gets more sympathy than the elephant. I am color blind. I cannot tell the difference between red-brown, blue-purple, and green-yellow. I usually can tell the difference if the tones are different, like shades of gray. Kdice colors shades are too close for me to distinguish. I apologize if I miss calls to my color. I keep a cheat sheet of which color is in which position. But when I look at the board, and I cannot always tell until late in the game.
