SwisherSweet on Thursday February 25, 2010 Excellent 1st place play by oodi--until the very end. Teal was in 1st, oodi (red) was in 2nd, I was in 3rd. Teal got middled so he flagged to oodi. At first oodi did not understand that teal had flagged to him because teal wasn't as clear as he could have been, but eventually oodi understood. Teal and I fought for 2nd. Teal whined and complained about two against one; I commented that it happens all the time that someone takes a lead and the others attack him rather than each other (not as often as flagging, of course). Teal kept whining, but he fought me well. Tired of teal's whining, I offered to quit so he could take 2nd. Yes, I was supercillious, but his whining was annoying--and I meant it. I was quite willing to quit (eventually I sat out but teal quit when I did that). oodi, who had been extremely patient perhaps did not like my tone with teal so he started eating up my tail (not affecting my fight with teal). Summary: oodi is excellent in 1st place, but don't be supercillious even if, as I thought I had, you have good cause. My motto: When 1st is in hand, leave everyone alone (unless attacked or stalemate).
