about the report button...
(and thanks for implementing it, by the way)

what happens when we report someone?

does it have any immediate effect? does it bring up a warning for that player or does it send an alert straight to ryan? and what measures are taken following this?

when we report someone, it would be good to have a section where we could write in what we are reporting them for, and at which game number and table the incident occurred, along with a screenshot if we had taken one, rather than just selecting 'inappropriate chat.'

i reported a player, "faithfreeride" the other day for a completely unnecessary homophobic hate rant on clarke, and posted some of the chatbox text on his to give others some idea of what he's like.

as far as i know, he is still playing, and this morning he posted on /my/ profile, with the charming reply of "fuck you ya bitch ass cunt".

did reporting this player actually make any difference, and if so, what? it would be useful to know more about the process.

i have reported several abusive chats and avatars and so far i haven't seen anything happening to them......i am still seeing the same users with those avatars.......may be ryan thought that the avatars/chats are not abusive enough to take any action.......

I agree. It would be useful to know more about the process.

I also think freedom of speech has limits. you cannot go around trashing everybody else. If there is no regulation these insulting characters will thrive.

lol, they don't thrive because they are not good, and if they are good they wont thrive because everyone will hate them. So, although i cannot stand hate rants like that, and the people who make them. It is easier to either ignore them or bitch them out. At the end of the day, they will still be a pathetic little bitch.
